Here's a little taste of last year's Gathering...
Gathering is truly an experience that can't be duplicated! Check out these videos from last year's Gathering of Artisans conference to get a taste of what this weekend is all about.
Where is Gathering 2019? Ridgecrest Conference Center in Black Mountain, NC
How much does it cost? That depends on you - how many nights you stay, how many classes you take, what type of onsite lodging you choose - but in general, the whole weekend is between $600-$900+ per person ALL INCLUSIVE.
Do I have to be a "real artist" to attend? Gathering is for everyone - those who are doubters, beginners and experienced artists.
Do you have to pay up front when you register? Yes and no. You'll pay for your registration fees up front and then, once you're registered, you'll be taken to the Ridgecrest Conference Center website where you'll be able to register for meals & lodging. Only a small deposit is required there and you'll pay your balance later as determined by the conference center.
Can I bring my spouse with me if they're not an artist? Yes, however, we've found over the years that unless they are participating in the conference, it can actually take away from your conference experience. (You end up worrying about them, doing other things during the conference, missing workshops and evening sessions, etc.) For your benefit, we recommend coming with a friend or have your spouse register and participate in classes of their choice. Spouses or friends who are not registered for the conference CANNOT attend workshops but may attend evening sessions only.
What airport should I fly into? We recommend Asheville (AVL), Charlotte (CLT) or Greenville, SC (GSP) as our closest airports.
How to I get from the airport to the conference center? Uber and Lyft are available in Asheville. Also, there is an airport shuttle available. Each are the responsibility of the participant and are not arranged by Gathering of Artisans. Many artists end up sharing a ride.
How can I connect with other participants to carpool or rideshare? Once registration is open, we'll have a Facebook Event Page for Gathering of Artisans. You can connect with each other there. Also, check out our Thriving Christian Artists Facebook Group.
Who do I contact if I have a question about Gathering? Just email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll respond within 24 hours!
Raising Up An Army Of Artists...
In 2009 a movement began to raise up an army of artists to reveal God's Glory in the earth. Since then, The Worship Studio has worked with artists and Kingdom creatives around the world to see this vision manifest through hosting conferences, a network of creative communities and various books and online equipping resources. Beginning in 2013, artists from around Europe, the UK and the United States started collaborating to see a multi-nation gathering happen in Europe and during July 2015, we held our 10th Gathering of Artisans weekend in Bad Hamburg, Germany.
We know God is raising up an army of artists and our vision for Gathering is a powerful time of worship, mentoring & creative expression centered in the Presence of God and the community of artisans - both master & emerging. We have intentionally planned this weekend in an environment conducive to building relationships and growing together in unity. We look forward to a time of refreshing, renewal and rekindling of vision as God’s Army of Kingdom Creatives.
I can't wait to meet you and hear YOUR story at a Gathering of Artisans 2018 here in Black Mountain, North Carolina!

Testimonies from Gathering...
"It was my first "Gathering." I'm still trying to soak in all that the Lord did and said. So much...so much. I'm blown away by the blessings, the freedom, the giftings, the ministries of the body that came together. I experienced "real church." came away with new relationships to encourage and be encouraged on to the journey of creativity. absolutely awesome. Thank you! Thank you!" Sandra R., participant.
"I was left speechless, literally! Overwhelmed by His love. The Gathering is the place where my heart and my art came together in God encounters. There, He merged my life with my tribe & I feel I’m no longer alone! He downloaded visions for direction and focus; He further healed my brokenness for my work to release His Heaven into the earth realm. He set my heart free and He gave me a new song to sing. I felt the tsunami wave of His Holy Spirit lift me up and begin moving me up and forward. I’m in a new place. I don’t know what that will look like, but I know everything’s changed! What a joy to pour out my love to Jesus with maybe hundreds of other artists for days at a time! Heaven will be like that!" Mary E., participant.
"Mountain top experience...encounter with God and I'm forever changed! The entire conference was an encounter with the Master Creator and His creative children. Laughed, cried, healed and was overwhelmed and overjoyed by His presence! I'm at peace with who He has created me to be and more confident then ever. Thank you Matt & Tanya for your obedience to the Lord and releasing His power and love at Gathering of Artisans!" Toni R., participant.
"I walked in to hearing the worship practice and other artists setting up. I knew I was home and I couldn't wait to get my art. So grateful and so thankful for being in a place where I get to be me and experience such freedom. There was freedom in worship and expression in the worship and services that was so beautiful and made me think this is what heaven looks like. Gods children being much loved and delighting in being with Him. Then, there was all the fellowship and friendship that really did transform! I am not the same person! God spoke so much to my heart. I got painting ideas. I was blessed with all the prayer and Sunday just completely overwhelmed with Daddy and His goodness. He gave answers and brought healing! Thank you so much to whole team and the life's that you touched!" Sharee M., participant.
"The last night of the worship Matt was praying over us all, asking God to heal different hurts and ailments that people were suffering with. He stated, God open up their ears so that they may hear! And how mightily my ears were opened this whole weekend. I had life changing experience after experience hearing testimony from many people that God put in my path those 4 days I was there. I felt a rebirth spiritually, emotionally and artistically even though I did not touch a paint brush while I was there." Sandra T., participant.
"Making new friends and experiencing His refreshing was amazing. I have such a peace coming back to my small island in the Caribbean (Cayman Islands). Being with other creative freaks who 'get it' in our Father's presence was indescribable. God is simply amazing and there are no words that can capture how good He is. I will never forget this experience, and can't wait for next year!!" Christina P., participant
